7th October 2016
One fine weekend, our household (and some friends) trooped to Chelsea Tower for a much needed R&R. It was my sister’s day off and we luckily scored another good deal thru booking.com.
For only AED450++, we got to stay in a three-bedroom suite at Chelsea!
What a steal! 🙂
Actually, my husband was quite hesitant to go on a staycation. Sayang daw kasi ang pera. Good thing we went ahead because we came to realize that we don’t have to go too far to have a vacation. There are a lot of beautiful places in Dubai, however, we tend to miss them since we’re too focused on the concept of ‘going away’.
Chelsea Tower is one of the numerous skyscrapers bordering Sheikh Zayed road. It is conveniently located in front of Financial Center (DIFC) Metro Station, just one station away from Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa.
We checked-in around 1 pm and were immediately accommodated by their staff.
The receptionist initially gave us a 12th floor apartment but eventually changed it to 38th floor upon my request (ok, ok, I almost begged. hehe).
Here’s another plus… Aside from allowing us to check-in early, they also granted our request for late check-out the next day! Yey!
3-Bedroom Suite (38th Floor)
As soon as we opened the door, we instantly felt at home. It was spacious and neat and we really loved the natural light coming in.
Me (to everyone): Guys, ‘wag nyo munang guguluhin, pipicturan ko muna para sa blog! hahaha
Living Room & Dining
We surely spent a lot of time here.
This is the hallway which leads to all the other rooms…
The fully functional kitchen served us really well. It had everything we needed including plates, utensils, microwave, toaster, stove, etc.
Actually, I really loved it that I volunteered to cook breakfast here on our 2nd day 🙂
Our suite had 3 rooms. (1) the master’s bedroom with a king sized bed and attached bathroom (2) the middle room with 2 single beds and (3) another room with a queen sized bed. All the rooms have built in cabinets and dressing table with mirror.
I was so thankful that we insisted to stay on a higher floor. It would have been a pity to miss these amazing views…
The outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, gym, sauna and spa are all located on the 6th floor. Since the rates were on promotion, we were expecting a crowded pool. Luckily, we only encountered one to two small groups during our stay.
Except for small mishaps like slow wifi and AC issue on the master’s bedroom, we were all in agreement that we got more than our money’s worth at Chelsea Tower. Actually, sa view palang sulit na =)
Here are more photos to prove how much we enjoyed our mini-vacation 🙂
It was a definitely fun weekend minus the hassle of travelling (& overspending).
Perhaps we should do staycations more often?
