I feel bad that I wasn’t able to update the blog lately. It’s just been so hectic in the office that by the time I reach home, I really couldn’t find the energy to sit in front of my computer anymore. Hay.
One of the things I’ve been meaning to talk about was an event I attended last month. I was invited, alongside some members of the press and other bloggers, to the relaunch of Shayan Restaurant in Al Ghurair Rayhaan. I felt kilig and was also excited because I really enjoyed their previous event back in Feb.
Since it was my first time at Shayan, I asked Ferry, their E-commerce Manager to brief me regarding their new and improved menu. I learned that Shayan‘s previous menu was a fusion of ancient Persian and contemporary cooking techniques. This time around, in order to cater to a wider market, they are introducing Lebanese cuisine on top of their already famous & signature dishes.
During the event, we gladly tried several Middle Eastern dishes such as Lebanese mezze, mouth-watering Grilled kebabs and much more. Their chefs also served other authentic Lebanese dishes which my husband and I both loved.
Hot & Cold Appetizers
Mains
Dessert
I am not a food blogger at all so I won’t be able to properly describe how each of these dishes taste. However, trust me when I say that I loved Shayan’s food specially the appetizers & mains. Their Lebanese set menu is definitely worth a try. 🙂
Here are more photos captured during the event…

Pleasure to meet the lovely couple behind The Isaacs’ Journal blog
All in all, it was an evening of good food, great service, and new friends!
Treasured times indeed.

Are you going to the iftar preview next week? We might meet!! 🙂
Hi Jane, yes I will be there. See you real soon!!! 🙂
Great post! This reminds me of my unforgettable marina experience in Dubai when me and my husband visited the place for a vacation. We had couples of drinks in the marina, had dinner, visited my husband’s cousin in Marina Medical Centre and had a great night in some popular spa! 🙂
Mauh, I tried commenting on this post 2weeks back, but for some reason it’s not going though… so I’m trying it again…
It’s nice meeting you and Ian… see you later!
Hmm, maybe there was something wrong with the site that time. Thanks and see you later ate! 🙂
