For years now, Lamesa Restaurant in Asiana Hotel has been one of our go-to places for special occasions.
First, the restaurant is quite close to where we live. Really accessible!
Second, they offer fine-dining quality food and ambiance at very affordable rates.
Third, they have a vast selection of mouthwatering dishes in both their lunch and dinner buffets.
Fourth, they serve alcohol! 😉
And finally, Lamesa reminds me of home. The name itself already shouts very Pinoy!
This restaurant will always be close to my heart. If you remember, it was where Ian, infront of a lot of Pinoy diners, courageously surprised me with a marriage proposal.
By the way, he couldn’t have done it without the help of their awesome restaurant staff & managers. They went above and beyond the usual customer service. Thank you for accommodating Ian’s requests all the way from the reservation, background music, cake, etc. And to the lady servers, thank you for trying your best to be discreet and keep the surprise even if you were all ‘kinikilig’ inside! It was only later when I realized why we were getting all those stares and ‘special treatment’. hehehe
Hay, I still feel overwhelmed whenever I think of that moment. Ang sweet nyo lahat! 😉 🙂
It’s a no brainer that we decided to have our very simple wedding reception in Lamesa as well. Syempre, consistent kami! hahaha.
Seriously, since Thursday was a working day (we only had a few guests), and we were travelling to Pinas that evening, we thought it was best to just have a modest buffet brunch instead of a proper reception. Lamesa has a wide variety of dishes naman so our guests won’t run out of options food-wise. Besides, aside from not having personalized set-up and wedding souvenirs, I don’t think there’s much difference anyway. It was actually more convenient since all we had to do was arrive at the venue, eat, entertain our guests, pay, and then leave. Stress-free and very economical! 😉
As I mentioned above, one of the reasons why we keep coming back to Lamesa is their wide-array of dishes.
Of course, they have pork dishes too! Their lechon kawali is heavenly! In other words, kapag naparami ang kain mo, baka mapaaga ang pagpunta mo sa heaven! hahaha joke lang!
They also have a salad bar in addition to Italian, Thai, Japanese, and other Asian dishes.
And now, the most exciting part… DESSERT!!!!!!
They also have buko pandan, fruits, and other kinds of dessert which I failed to take photos of.
And by the way, here’s their cocktails menu.
Thank you Lamesa, you will always be a part of my love story 🙂
