I know this post is already late but allow me to greet you all a Merry Merry Christmas. Hope you all had a blast! 🙂
Let us not forget that the spirit of this Yuletide season is not about the abundance of food on the table nor the number of gifts we received. Rather, it’s about celebrating the love of God and his ceaseless blessings!
FYI, OFW’s here in Dubai are really fortunate that the Dubai Government and its citizens are open-minded when it comes to expats’ cultures and religions. Here, we also have the usual simbang gabi, yuletide decorations are sold everywhere and most companies allow a day-off on the 25th.
Yun nga lang, iba parin ang Pasko sa Pinas. I really miss the Christmas carols and lights, seeing small kids visit their godparents to get their share of crispy 20 peso bills, and just happy people everywhere!
At higit sa lahat, miss ko na ang pamilya ko. This year marks my 4th Christmas away from home. Hay, buhay OFW nga naman! 😦

And from 2010 onwards, I have spent all my Christmases here in Dubai.

And 2014…
For our celebration this year, we prepared a Filipino themed Noche Buena and had some relatives and friends come over.
Whew! Time flies! Looking at these 10 years worth of pictures gave me immense feelings of nostalgia, happiness, and gratitude!
Anyway, this Christmas, I did not receive any special present; neither did I celebrate it in a grand way. But nonetheless, I am still beyond grateful for my family here in Dubai and Pinas, Ian, and my friends who have always been my greatest blessings in life!
Again, wherever you are and whatever’s happening in your life right now, let me wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! 🙂
Happy new year! God bless everyone!
Happy New Year Lou-Ann 🙂 All the best!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🙂
Happy New Year Jane! 🙂
