It’s 5 in the morning and I’m already awake. 🙂 To think that it’s Friday today! These early mornings are so rare for me as I am definitely not an early bird. The earliest time I wake up on weekends is 10 am. Sometimes, I last in bed until 12 noon. That’s why I wickedly feel that weekends are too short. It’s because I miss half of them by sleeping in! Tsk.
I can only count how many times I’ve seen sunrise. I actually envy people who can leave the comfort of their blankets even before Mr. Sun does. They start their day so early that they get to accomplish a lot of things while I, on the other hand, snooze my way to la la wonderland. hehehe
One of these rare early mornings happened one Friday in Feb. We booked a Desert Safari trip in the afternoon so we decided to make the most out of our day by having a picnic breakfast at Al Mamzar beach. We all got up at 4 in the morning and prepared our food. Good thing we borrowed Papa’s car the night before so space was not a problem 🙂
We reached the place in less than 10 minutes as the roads were amazingly clear!
Soon as we reached Al Mamzar corniche, this view welcomed us…
I can’t tell you how magical it felt to watch the sun slowly rise over Sharjah’s skyscrapers! Right there and then, I vowed to wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise everyday. That didn’t happen.
And since we were so amazed with what we were seeing, everyone kept gushing on how we should experience this more often. We started planning for the next picnics and beach trips. Again, those never happened. hehe
Moving on, we took some more photos and settled to the nearest vacant cottage.
We prepared an all-Pinoy breakfast of Sinangag, Adobo, longganisa, nilagang itlog, at kamatis which we all ate with gusto. Yum! 🙂

Al Mamzar Corniche, Dubai. What better way to kick-start the weekend than having a hearty breakfast with a picture perfect background and amazing friends! 🙂
After finishing our breakfast, we played badminton and took more pictures.
Waking up early that day was totally worth it. I wish we could do the same more often. 🙂
To know more about Al Mamzar Beach, please visit their website.
Informative article, totally what I wanted to find.
good day! i would just like to ask if we can also visit the beach as early as the time you went there? as mentioned in their website, they open 9am-10pm thu-sat.. thank you! 🙂
Hi Mara,
Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait for the park’s opening time as the beach is only accessible from there. However, if you’re planning to start your day early, go to the corniche first (like what we did). It’s open to the public anytime of the day. 🙂
I like the helpful info you provide in your
